Clear USPC's Engineering Services Examination For JTO Recruitment

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a Public Sector Telecom Company under the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India, conducts recruitment for the posts of Junior Telecom Officer against vacancies announced from time to time.

The posts of JTO are directly filled by DoT and BSNL. However, another option for Junior Telecom Officer Sarkari Naukri is the annual Engineering Services Examination conducted by the Central Public Service Commission (UPSC). The selection process for the Group B posts of Junior Telecom Officers is conducted by the Commission through Engineering Services Examination. 

The list of successful candidates declared at the end of this process is sent to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Ministry of Personnel, Ministry of Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India for training and appointment.

 Eligibility to appear in UPSC ESE

Candidates should possess a degree (BE or B.Tech) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University or other institution of higher education as per the qualification prescribed for recruitment to the JTO (Group B) posts by UPSC Engineering Services Examination. .) must pass. 

 Also, the age of the candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as of 1st January in the year of examination. However, the upper age limit is relaxable for various reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, etc.) as per the rules laid down by the Central Government.

Selection Process

As per the UPSC ESE Exam 2021 Notification, the selection process consists of three stages. The first stage is the pre-test. In which successful candidates are called for the main exam and then a personality test.

Know, how much salary will be given for which post

Talking about the salary, a monthly salary of Rs 3.25 lakh to Rs 3.50 lakh will be available for the post of Captain/Pilot at the level of Deputy Inspector General of Constable (DIG). 2.8 lakh to 3.4 lakh rupees per month for the post of commandant (pilot). Rs 1.55 lakh to 1.65 lakh will be given to Flight Gunner (Inspector) and Rs 1.5 lakh to 1.55 lakh per month to Junior Flight Gunner. On appointment to the post of SAM (Inspector), the salary is fixed at Rs 1.40 lakh. 1.30 lakh is payable for the post of JAM (Sub Inspector). AAM (Assistant Sub Inspector) is to be paid a salary of Rs 1.20 lakh per month. The monthly salary of a Flight Engineer ranges from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 1.55 lakh per month.
